Naomi is an illustrator & educator who redefined her creative practice in 2021 after being a commercial illustrator since 2015. She received a BA (Hons) Illustration degree from Plymouth University in 2014 and is currently on route to receive a MA in Illustration by 2023.

Naomi’s research focuses on establishing fulfilling creative practice by building and developing methodology tools. Her research explores play and process and ‘The Act of Illustrating’, decrypting illustration ideologies and the belief systems illustrators establish through their education. She mainly works with traditional mediums such as acrylic paint, wax crayons and collage, drawing intuitively to create imagery often inspired by nature and organic forms.

She has spoken at the Illustration Research Symposium in 2019, speaking on the subject of ‘Illustrating Mental Health’ and continues to educate and facilitate workshops and talks as an associate lecturer and freelance educator and mentor. Find out more about her teaching here
